The days of dull, creasing eyeshadows have come to an end. How so? Well some brilliant cosmetic chemists have come to the rescue by inventing some innovative products called eyeshadow bases and color enhancers. While every company has their own special code names for these products, there are a few charicteristics that you can look for to be sure you are purchasing the right products and using them correctly.

I really liked the way this COVERGIRL shadow product was designed. It's a double-sided shadow stick. The lighter shadow has a rounded tip, and the darker shade has a tapered tip that makes it very easy to apply along the lash line and in the crease. Like Urban Decay Naked Eyeshadow I said earlier, I tried it with and without eye shadow primer to see how well it would hold up, and again I was surprised at the outcome. I used this product with my urban decay eyeshadow shadow Primer Potion, and the result seemed to be the same whether I used it or not. The pigmentation was good. It showed up true to color with and without the primer. Urban Decay does not currently sell AC/DC as it was limited edition in the Book of Shadows II, but you can still find the Book of Shadows II on eBay and other various makeup websites, though you will probably pay a lot more than the original $48 for it.

I think to get the most bang for your buck, you should wash your face, moisturize and apply your powder or foundation first. Then apply the urban decay palette Primer Potion. You will not be disappointed. I even found that my eyeliner stayed very defined throughout the day.

Luckily I received it in the mail during the day and was able to use it before I went out that night. I followed the directions carefully on the bottle to make sure I used it correctly. To use the naked palette All Nighter Long Lasting Makeup Setting Spray, you simply apply your makeup as normal and then spray it over your face a few times. I also sat in front of a fan for a few minutes to make sure it dried on my face. I've heard from numerous beauty advisors that you should let setting spray or mists dry on your face first, and I believe this really helped.

Once you have blended all your eyeshadows to the desired shade, you should also place a little bit of the lightest shade on the inner corner of your eyelid and blend it out a little bit. This will help open up your eyes a little and make them appear to be further apart.

The second palette got much more love than the first one. In fact, after it was launched, a lot of people suddenly found faults in the first one that no one realized before! It has been years since these palettes were introduced but up until now, it still sells for the same price it did when it came out. I guess it shows that it really is too in demand to have its price lowered. No wonder the palettes are loved by many. Both contain shadows that are long-wearing and highly-pigmented. However, $50 is still a lot of money especially if you are just getting the palette to achieve the naked look.

A very pretty, shimmery neutral that goes will with other neutral colors. Dark enough for eyeliner and crease blending but too dark for all-over wear.
